I think you should put ponytail in parentheses: Why, yes, I do have enough hair for a (teeny, tiny, whispy) "ponytail".
...and by "parentheses" I meant quotation marks.
I declare that five hairs constitutes a ponytail. That's why I didn't use quotation marks. Or parentheses.
