Civic Holiday weekend

So... I'm a little behind the times in my posting! Nothing new - I've been behind all summer and I'm starting to feel like a broken record about it. I'm a whole long weekend behind. Happy Labour Day weekend, everyone!

We spend the Civic Holiday weekend in Huntsville. I've spent a lovely amount of this summer up there and it has been fantastic. The lake holds a lot of allure for me.

This Great Blue Heron visited us several times over the weekend. Beautiful.

Also beautiful: this shot of Dean and Ollie.

Playing in the water with Sam and Alexa.

Jack joins in. He was very good about keeping his cast wrapped in plastic and keeping it above water. The one time that he did trip and fall into the water, his cast was so well wrapped that it didn't get wet.

Jack, looking cute.

Nudie baby:

Dipping her in the water. She's so pale! I guess she really is her father's daughter.

Taking a break from playing for some drinks.

Charlie, looking like he's in an advertisement.

Sam, leaping off the dock.

Dean and Joe.

Charlie, Sam and Emily jumping off the dock and Ollie hanging out on the dock:

There aren't many pictures of Mummy on her own, and I liked this one.

My beauty babe.

Her handsome cousin.

Ashley came to visit! We love it when she visits from Yellowknife.

Auntie Ange with a tired-out baby.

Cousins! So cute.

There are even fewer pictures of Daddy than there are of Mummy, so here's a handsome on of Jevon.

Alexa and Joey both tried watermelon for the first time. They LOVED it.

Joey's adorable smile. Scrunchy face!

More fun in the lake. Dean and Emily bought a little dinghy boat so that Jack could go out in the water without getting his cast wet. We all took turns riding in it.

Sam, Charlie and Jevon played on the raft for quite a long time, pushing each other off and leaping off.

Sleepy Joey:

Opa and Alexa:

That's plenty for now! I have more pictures of this weekend, but this is already a monstrously long post. I think I'll save the rest for another day.

Oh my gosh! I met Ashley at her friend's Adam and Annie's wedding that I photographed this past July. Small world! She seemed like a lot of fun:)

Awesome! Ashy has been one of my best buds in the world since we were in kindergarten.

No way! Man it is a small world! We were just laughing yesterday about the pink panty shot! Annie's photos are spectacular and captured the day perfectly. Great work!
