Natasha and Andrew's wedding

Our friends Andrew and Natasha got married on May 14. They got married at a lodge in cottage country. We stayed the weekend and shared a cabin with Grammie and Opa. My birthday was on the Friday, so we took advantage of the opportunity to have some quality family time.

On Friday night, Grammie and Opa took Alexa back to the cabin at bed-time so that Mummy and Daddy could have some baby-free visiting time with friends. It was a good birthday present.

Morning coffees and cuddles with Grammie and Daddy.

The cabins that we stayed in were absolutely lovely. We were in the upper floor of a big cabin. Our little area had two bedrooms, a living room and a nice big kitchen. Breakfasts were provided, but we bought some coffee so that we could enjoy a cup together before going over to the main dining room.

Alexa in her finest outfit. She slept through much of the actual wedding ceremony. We bought her this party dress a few months ago for the wedding, and the fancy bonnet was Uncle Geoff's when he was a baby.

The handsome groom, waiting for his bride.

Grammie and Mummy with a sleepy babe.

 Gorgeous bridesmaid.

 Beautiful Maid of Honour.

The lovely bride and her dad.

Love her gown.

 Hooray!

The flower girl (Natasha's niece) was beyond cute.

Alexa woke up for the reception.

 Family photo.

This is a better shot of her beautiful ruffled party dress. She looked so pretty!

She didn't like the cheering, so we had to cover her ears when people got excited.

Auntie Terri, having a cuddle with Alexa between courses at dinner.

Terri and Ram with Alexa. This is one of the only shots where Ram isn't making a funny face.

With the happy couple.

Daddy keeping Alexa calm during the speeches. She was getting into the fussy time of night, but she did really well all-in-all.

Posing with Auntie Jen, on a break from her bridesmaid duties.

One last shot of the little Miss before bed. We changed her into her pyjamas and put her in her stroller in a quiet(ish) corner of the reception area. She slept there while we celebrated with our friends. Just after midnight, Mummy, Grammie, Opa and Alexa went back to the cabin to sleep. Daddy stayed out for a little while longer. It was a lovely weekend.

When we got home from the wedding, we moved Alexa from the bassinet in our room into the crib in her own room. The first night was a disaster of nearly-constant crying, but after that she settled into her room and has been sleeping quite well there (knock wood) ever since.

Thanks for posting! I loved seeing the pics and seeing the wedding from your/Alexa's perspective. You forgot to mention that you were the official makeup artist for the bridal party.. thank you again!!
