Last night, we opened a box from The Children's Place (Mummy may have gotten a teensy bit carried away on sale items), and the girls modelled their new sunhats and sunglasses. Matching outfits were picked by Daddy and Alexa this morning.
The new hat and sunglasses were accompanied by this conversation between Alexa and her dad:
Alexa walks into room with new hat and sunglasses, one hand on hip and one turned up in the air.
A: "It's Alexa from work."
J: "Were you at work today?"
A: "Yes, I was."
J: "How was your day?"
A: "Good."
J: "What did you do at work?"
A: "Oh, I just got a hammer for you."
J: "Thank you."
A: "You're welcome. You need it because you built your house out of wood and not brick."
J: "I built my house out of wood?"
A: "Yes. And you should have used brick."
J: "Why should I have used brick?"
A: "Because it's a good material."
J: "I see."
A: "Well, thanks for shopping with us. I have to go back to work now."
J: "Goodbye."
A: "Goodbye."
