Hello, it's Tutu Tuesday!
It's also my very last night as a stay-at-home-mum; I go back to work tomorrow. My outfit is laid out, my bag is packed, and all I need to do is get to bed. Yet, my mind is racing. I have so enjoyed this year with my girls. Alexa has matured from a babyish toddler to a lovely little girl. Mia came home as a wee smidgen of a baby and is now an almost-toddler with personality to spare.
In one sense, I dread the end of this maternity leave. This year has had magical moments, and I'm sad to see it end. In another sense, I'm excited to be using the parts of my brain that aren't fired up by countless repetitions of stories and songs, by craft time and cuddles, by silliness and giggles and tantrums or by the countless other emotions and activities that have filled 13 months of days.
The only thing I unequivocally dread is the office coffee. I have been spoiled by my new coffee maker.
Here are pictures of my girls, on my very last day of maternity leave. They're pretty cute kids, if I do say so myself.
Alexa's caption: "Mummy, take a picture of me not saying 'cheese'." (Her tutu is up around her waist a bit, but I promise that it was there!)
Mischievous Mia, saying: "deeeeeeees" (her version of "cheese"). She's wearing a tutu dress.
