In the hospital, we got some professional pictures taken of Mia. These were the pictures that I posted back in February (the photographer was an absolute tool, but her pictures were good and her assistant was adorable).
We did also get some pictures of our own!
Meeting our baby girl. That look on our faces is mixed exhaustion and joy (although we really did think that we were in for a MUCH longer night than we actually had).
Getting a look at her wee face.
The midwives gave Mia her first check-up. She was less than impressed.
Cuddles with Daddy. That's the perfect place for a baby to snuggle.
Cuddles with Mummy and Grammie. Grammie was there for Mia's birth, and was a great support for our family.
Her sweet wee face.
Baby burrito!
Up and about in the hospital. This is about when we decided on her name.
The big moment: Alexa meets her new baby sister. From the first, she was great with Mia.
Alexa began holding Mia's hands right away.
Meeting Opa! He spent the night with Alexa while we were in the hospital, and was the one who brought her to meet Mia.
More cuddles with Grammie. She is grandkid #7 for Grammie and Opa.
Meeting Grandma!
And Grandpa. Grandma and Grandpa are pretty pleased with grandkid #11.
Jevon, snuggling his two girls.
Our nurse gave Mia her first bath while we were in the hospital. Mia liked this even less than she liked her check-up with the midwives. I love her fuzzy little head of hair.
