Fun with cousins and dinos

On September 22, we made a last-minute decision to head downtown to meet up with my sister and her family to celebrate my "little" nephew Charlie's twelfth birthday. Charlie is my oldest nephew. It seems like he was tiny only yesterday, but he's grown something ridiculous like four inches since Christmas and is rivaling his mother in height. He's not a tiny kid any more!

Alexa always enjoys seeing her cousins, so we hopped on a subway and went to the ROM. We looked at some of the ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian artifacts before heading to the (very cool) dinosaur exhibit.

Birthday hugs for Charlie:

Very cool totem pole in the staircase:

Mummy and Alexa, looking at the ancient jewellery:

Alexa with Uncle Geoff and Sam, looking at the mummies:

A sample of an ancient Egyptian tomb - Alexa loved playing peek-a-boo with Uncle Geoff:

There aren't too many pictures of the dino exhibit. The lighting was pretty low to preserve the skeletons.

I wouldn't want to meet these guys in a dark alley:

Very cool shot Jevon took of a skull imposed over an artist's rendition:

Alexa perused the toys, and ended up clinging to a purple brontosaurus.

Charlie, Sam, and Charlie's friend at a table by themselves. They looked so grown-up!
