Excitement

Excitement in our house:

I am incredibly stoked at how clear baby's brain and digestive system are in these pictures. Nerdy? Maybe.

Next January 25th, we'll be celebrating our little girl's second birthday, February 13th is our puppy's first birthday, and in between those two, we'll likely celebrate a little person's arrival. We decided not to find out if the little person will be a little boy person or a little girl person. We liked the anticipation with Alexa and thought we would go for the surprise again.

We have put together lists of names for both genders, and are working on getting our house in order, a feat which involves:

• Moving stored items out of the main part of the basement;
• Finding places to store above-mentioned items;
• Creating a playroom in the main part of the basement;
• Moving office furniture out of the office;
• Moving guestroom furniture out of the basement (DONE!);
• Putting office furniture into the basement (partly done!);
• Creating a "big girl" room for Alexa in the old office; and
• Putting unwanted furniture on Kijiji.

In the middle of all of this, we've been teaching a very independent and strong-willed Alexa to use her words (not her hands) when she's frustrated. We also got Douggie neutered last week, and are teaching him (again) not to pee in the house (a lesson he seemed to forget when he was neutered).

It is pure chaos? Yes. Am I loving it? Also yes (except for the dog pee on the floor).
