Long walk with Daddy

Yesterday, Jevon worked from home and cared for Alexa during the day. He decided that a nice long walk was in order.

They stopped at a playground down the street. Alexa loves to climb (she's half monkey, I swear). She is so fearless that it makes my heart stop at least half a dozen times every time we go to the park. But I want her to be able to recognize her own limits and boundaries, so we let her go.

First stop: the SLIDE!

After a good play at the park, they continued down to the boardwalk at the Beach.

One tired puppy didn't make it far. Jevon said he just sat down in the middle of the sidewalk and refused to go any further. Jevon tucked him in the carry basket at the bottom of the stroller, much to the amusement of passers-by. Whenever we take Doug and Alexa for a walk, people continually exclaim that they can't decide which one is cuter.

The long walk took its toll on Alexa, too. I would venture to say that she's the cutest (sorry, Douggie. You're cute, but she's my baby).

After a quick nap in the stroller, Alexa was all refreshed and ready to be back at her usual shenanigans when they got back to the house.
