Visits in November

It's been a rough few weeks. After we got back from American Thanksgiving in Michigan, I came down with a cold. It got better and worse a few times over the course of two weeks. And then it got way worse and turned into pneumonia. I've spent the past week recovering and am finally feeling like health is within reach. It's actually been a rough few weeks for my whole family. My sister (Em) had pneumonia before me (and worse than me), my brother-in-law (Dean) also had pneumonia around the same time as Em (a bad time for their family). And my sister (Ange) is currently fighting strep throat. Please send healthy thoughts to the van der Meer girls!

Before all of this went down (the week before US Thanksgiving, in fact), I spent a lovely afternoon in Waterloo with my friend Terezinha and her gorgeous little guy, Theodore. When I visited, he was still at that squishy, sweet newborn stage.

Theo in his swing (slightly out of focus because he was swinging).

Alexa, looking HUGE next to tiny Theo.

And Alexa getting up close and personal with the camera.

The drive to Waterloo really isn't bad. I'm hoping to be able to go visit them again before I have to go back to work. I might actually remember to get some pictures of Terezinha and me while I'm there! Or, more likely, I'll just get more shots of the babies.
