This is going to be a very long post, with lots of pictures. Consider yourself warned.
As part of Jevon's birthday present, Alexa and Mummy gave him a trip to Niagara Falls and Niagara wine country.
We drove to Niagara on Friday night and stayed in a hotel.
Alexa says: "Hooray for the hotel!"
She was very chatty and happy to be out of the carseat.
On Saturday, we went touring around several wineries in the escarpment and Niagara-on-the-lake areas. We discovered some awesome new wines. When we got back to the hotel, it was time for a nice relaxing jacuzzi. Our awesome hotel room had a great big jacuzzi tub that was big enough for two adults and one little wee Alexa. We just had to outfit Alexa in her brand-new, very cute bathing suit.
Look at those CHEEKS. I'm in love with this kid.
Her Daddy is in love with her, too.
After the jacuzzi: Alexa in her sweet ducky towel.
On Sunday, we visited the Falls. Alexa slept through the whole thing, while Mummy and Daddy pushed her around in the stroller. At least we have photographic evidence that she was there.
A very lovely group of people offered to take our picture if we took theirs. They picked us because we had a "proper camera" (their term, meaning that we had an SLR). They had a beauty of a camera that was a joy to shoot with a stellar lens. I wish I had a copy of the pictures I took on theirs - I'll bet they're gorgeous. They managed to get a couple of nice ones of our little family in front of the Falls.
On the way home from the Falls, we stopped in at a couple more wineries before heading back to Toronto. It was a lovely, relaxing weekend. And as a bonus, our wine rack is now stocked!
